We recently moved the classification of activity areas (EMTAK), which contains 21 areas and 1771 activity area codes, to a new, more modern environment - the portal of the e-Business Register. In the process, it became more convenient to see special requirements, to search in the structure of business areas, and to compare similar business areas in order to decide on the right code.
In addition, the new EMTAK can remember the user's last searches and keeps them in a visible place so that, if necessary, explanatory information can be found quickly.
Although EMTAK moved, the content is still the same at the moment, but its new, specified version will be valid from January 1, 2025. In the updated classification, compared to the previous one, the biggest improvement will be the separation of mediation services, which is known to be lacking. This means that if in the current classification the construction of facilities and mediation of construction works are under one code, then from next year the mediation service will have a separate activity code.
Also, in the future, digital and other channels will not be distinguished, which will make it easier to find the right field of activity.
