Accounting program provides a default chart of accounts.
The chart of accounts can be filtered based on all accounts, active or inactive accounts. After selecting a filter, click on the ‘Show on screen’ button. Results can be saved in Excel.
If you would like to deactivate the unnecessary accounts or add accounts that you will use in the Incoming/Outgoing Payments module, you need to select Settings > Chart of accounts settings > Edit the chart of accounts, make the necessary selections, and then click on the ‘Save changes’ button at the bottom of the screen.
Accounts cannot be added to the chart of accounts, and their names cannot be changed in e-Financials. Account dimensions can be added to certain accounts; use the ‘Sub-accounts aka dimensions’ for this.
For adding a new sub-account, you must select Settings > Chart of accounts settings > Sub-accounts aka dimensions > Add a sub-account.
- Account – a drop-down menu can be used for determining which account receives a sub-account.
- Sub-account name – the name of the sub-account is discretionary.
