An updated beta version of the business connections visualization tool

All users of the e-Business Register can now test a new beta version of the business connections visualization tool, which offers a more convenient and comprehensive overview of the legal persons and individuals associated with companies.

The new solution can be found in the e-Business Register under the legal entity view, where an option labeled "Connections (beta)" now appears beneath the entity's name. The update includes more tools for analyzing business connections than before; for instance, users can view all legal entities registered at the same address.

Additionally, the solution is significantly more mobile-friendly, complies with all accessibility requirements, and clearly displays the countries with which a person is associated.

"Originally created to detect money laundering schemes, this application is a key part of the e-Business Register and is now available to everyone in a more user-friendly format," said Tambet Artma, Business Register Team Lead at the Centre of Registers and Information Systems (RIK). "The visualization tool allows users to map out the connections between various parties and examine the background through both active and inactive links, making it easy to identify past ownership structures as well."

An innovative timeline feature allows users to compare data with previous years to understand how the network of associated persons has changed over time.

Currently, the beta version does not yet include data on ultimate beneficial owners—which will be viewable in the future subject to a legitimate interest—nor does it include data on mergers and divisions, which will be added in the next phase. User interest and feedback have been strong during the initial days: between September 9 and 15, there were 2,122 first-time visits and 1,168 repeat visits. Based on responses from 96 users, satisfaction with the solution stands at 3.85 on a five-point scale; the initial NPS breakdown—based on 24 responses—is also encouraging, with 62.5% promoters, 25% passives, and only 12.5% detractors.

As the goal is to gather user feedback prior to the final launch, this is a trial version, and both versions will remain available for a certain period.
